Photo via Greenpeaced; used by permission.

Above is a photo via Greenpeace that shows crews working to extinguish a fire that broke out on the Vermilion 380 oil and gas platform in the Gulf of Mexico on Thursday.

According to news reports, officials are looking for the cause the fire, extinguished yesterday.  The explosion is far different than that which occurred in April when the Deepwater Horizon platform started gushing oil for months.
